Chi Networks is now the Package Maintainer for Nagios

Looking for a free Nagios 4 package download? You just found it. At Chi Networks we are heavy users of Nagios packages, which we offer both prebuilt and custom-configured, as our Customers require. This enables us to meet a demand for prebuilt Nagios packages that has existed since 2013, when Nagios stopped releasing its prebuilt packages upon releasing version 4.0 of its source code.

So we’re pleased to make a prebuilt Nagios4 Debian package available for download on our public mirror from our repository. We keep our packages current with each Nagios update. Here is the latest Nagios build, version 4.4.2.

So we’re pleased to make a prebuilt Nagios4 Debian package, which is available for download on our public mirror from our repository:

Copy and paste the following to /etc/apt/sources.list
echo “deb [arch=amd64] http://mirror.chinetworks.com/mirror/chideb/
chinetworks main” >> /etc/apt/sources.list
wget -O – http://mirror.chinetworks.com/mirror/chideb/conf/chinetworks.gpg.key|apt-key add –
apt-get update
apt-get install nagios
Browse http://IP-ADDRESS/nagios
Username – nagiosadmin
Password – <same as username>

Now you are good to go!

Support. Limited and delayed support for our prebuilt packages is available from two Nagios sources: Nagios Community support and support for users who file bug reports to Nagios.

We regret we can’t offer support. That said, our no-cost prebuilt Nagios packages are identical to the prebuilt packages we deploy for our Ultimate Managed Services™ Customers, who enjoy full warranty and support for prebuilt packages, including any issues affecting managed deployments of Nagios packages, prebuilt and custom-configured, on their systems.
